		The International Dietrich Bonhoeffer Study and Communication Centre The International Dietrich Bonhoeffer Study and Communication Centre is available to groups for seminars, conferences and meetings. In particular it is our aim to give visitors a closer understanding of thoughts, statements and information pertaining to the person Dietrich Bonhoeffer during their stay at the Meeting Centre in Stettin. The further development and care of the so far very simply designed memorial in Finkenwalde / Zdroje plays an immediate role in the context of the concept of the Study and Communication Centre in Stettin / Szczecin. The establishment of the International Communication Centre is the result of the consistent and dedicated work of the Evangelical-Lutheran parish in Stettin that already devoted a great deal of its activities during the nineties to the person and theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer and together with the former initiative circle made a particular effort to further develop and realise Bonhoeffer’s thoughts and ideas. Members of the Hauptkirche St. Nikolai in Hamburg actively support this cause and have, amongst other tasks, taken the initiative to restore the Communication Centre and design the memorial in Finkenwalde / Zdroje, thus making it possible today for both projects to be used for communication, recollection and for mutual learning thanks to many small and larger donations.
		The Communication Centre is situated in the heart of Stettin, near to the local council offices (Stadtverwaltung) with the University on the one side and a large park on the other. The castle is approx. 20 minutes’ walk away. It is quick and easy to reach all parts of Stettin by bus and tram. The Church of the Trinity, the Central Station and the river Oder are approx. 40 minutes away on foot. The memorial is situated approx. 6 km to the south in the suburb of Zdroje.
